Project HOPE was designed specifically to address the needs of the children who live with us. It is a structured, developmentally based program that identifies risk factors and prepares action plans for both children and mothers. Group activities take place four nights a week around themes such as social skills, physical well-being, self-esteem, and substance abuse. Children also receive individual therapeutic services and educational interaction from Project HOPE staff. In addition, the mothers work with staff on developing and practicing positive parenting techniques. Project HOPE is the only program of its kind in the Midwest.

Volunteers are needed to help provide group activities to children in Project HOPE.  To learn more about how to volunteer at Sheffield Place please select the button below.
